Vacancy: HUB agency operator
As a HUB Agent based in Rotterdam, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing vessel operations across multiple ports worldwide, but mainly in ARA region. You will act as the central point of contact between local port agents, shipowners, charterers, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth and efficient port calls while maintaining compliance with international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Port Call Coordination:
- Manage and oversee vessel operations across multiple locations, ensuring timely and efficient port calls.
- Liaise with local agents, vessel operators, and service providers to ensure all operational needs are met.
- Monitor port activities, berth availability, and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Control & Compliance:
- Ensure that all port calls comply with international, regional, and local regulations.
- Verify and review port disbursement accounts, ensuring cost control and accuracy.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or delays efficiently.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the key point of contact between clients, port agents, and service providers.
- Provide real-time updates and reports on vessel movements, cargo operations, and any potential disruptions.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and port authorities.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of port calls, operational data, and financial reports.
- Analyze port performance metrics and suggest process improvements.
- Use digital platforms to track and manage port calls globally.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in port agency, shipping, or maritime logistics preferred in Rotterdam or nearby ports.
- Strong knowledge of port operations, vessel handling, and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (Dutch or other languages are a plus).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, if required.
